Load widths may not be uniform but with the variable load center they no longer pose a problem. Instead of building a vehicle to suit the widest load size, which may only represent a small portion of the loads to be handled, and increase the vehicle length. The vehicle can be built to the average load size with the capability to handle the larger load width as an exception. In this manner even narrow pallets are accessible to the operator for order picking to and from the transported pallet. |
